Yard snapshot:
We run a complete mix – from happy hackers to competition horses and hunters. Horses are on different packages, ranging from part to full livery, with extra services available like schooling and hacking. There are currently six horses on the yard, which is plenty for one person as I still freelance. I took on the yard 18 months ago after years of freelancing and wanting a base. I looked for a long time until the right one came up – it was a dream come true. I’ve known the site for years; my friend used to keep the hounds here, and his name is still in the concrete.

What we love:
Caring for the horses is what I love most. I know that’s typical, but I’ve had a lot of breakers and it’s amazing to see the change in them. It’s something to be proud of. All the owners are super happy, and I love enabling horses and owners to be the best they can be. We aim to create a supportive environment – no bad vibes allowed. Everyone is very different but still gets on and enjoys being here. We keep very high standards: immaculate beds, tidy spaces, and everything reflects the care the horses receive. I want every horse looking and feeling as healthy as possible.
Life with liverylive:
I’ve been using LIVERYLive since I moved to the yard. I used to rely on paper and a diary, but I wanted something that kept everything in one place. I stumbled across LIVERYLive and had a warm, friendly welcome from the team – they were so helpful. Now I can’t live without the app. All liveries use it. We update notes, track vaccinations etc – it’s so handy.

Favourite features:
The to-do list is probably the feature I use most. I’m often tired, so it helps me stay on track and not forget things. We also use the yard calendar for farrier visits, vet appointments, and more. I love the horse profiles and billing system – I add charges throughout the month, tick them off, and they go straight onto the bill. It keeps everything organised.
Financial tools:
The billing system has made a big difference. Adding to bills as the month goes on means nothing gets missed. It’s helped me stay on top of everything.
Owner and team feedback
The owners love it. They can see everything – nothing is hidden. It’s all there for them to follow. Requests on the app don’t get missed like texts sometimes do. Updates are great, and it’s lovely seeing comments on Facebook and how many people are now using the app. It’s created a really supportive atmosphere and I love being part of team LIVERYLive.

Unexpected wins
Honestly, just having everything in one place is the biggest benefit. It’s made life easier, reduced stress, and helped with planning.
Advice to other yard owners
It works for all types of yards – small like mine, or even a single owner with three horses, or large livery yards. It helps keep everything together. If you’re thinking about starting your trial, I’d say go for it. It’s made such a difference.
